  • Minimum 48 hour rental. 

  • Walk-ins subject to availability. but please note we are ussually appointment only. please call to be sure before coming.

Same Day

  • Although we offer only 48 hour minimum rentals, drop off at any time sooner or the same day is accepted before closing.

  • Walk-ins subject to availability.

Multi Day Rental Periods

  • 48hr hour rental periods OR  discounted for weekly/monthly rental contracts.

Insurance Coverage

  • legally required by Japanese law included you get 

  • Third party injury: Unlimited, Third party property: Unlimited,  Passenger injury: ¥5,000,000.

Insurance Excess

  • An insurance excess of minimum ¥300,000 is payable on all claims for accidents, and is unlimited up to the cost of the vehicles repair. (Excess Reduction Insurance is Avail).

  • ERI (Excess Reduction Insurance) rate ¥1000/day. this will limit your payout to damaged vehicles to 300,000y

  • If you drop the bike on its side or single bike accidents are subject to repair or replace parts at cost.

Mileage

  • Unlimited Mileage on all rentals. 1 month rentals or longer to be negotiated. Please ask.

What to Expect

At Bike Rental Japan, our goal is to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Upon arrival at our rental shop, you will be greeted by one of our staff members, who will finalize any outstanding details from your online booking and complete the rental contract to get you on the bike as quickly as possible. At this stage, we will confirm that you have watched the Safe Riding in Japan video, fit you with any necessary gear, inspect the bike for any prior damage, and show you how to operate its specific functions and controls. We will also review the standard equipment provided.

If you have booked a self-guided tour and have not yet received the route information, we will upload it to your smartphone at this time. Additionally, we will answer any questions you may have about the terms and conditions, the bike, or your chosen tour route. You will also receive and confirm Bike Rentals Japan’s emergency contact numbers before setting off on your adventure.

This process can take as little as 10 minutes, but if additional details need to be finalized—such as gear fitting, adjustments, or tour explanations—it may take longer but we would like to get you on your adventure as fast as possible, so please plan accordingly.

Returning the Bike
When you return the bike, we love hearing about your adventure! After a final inspection, if everything is in order, you are free to go. If you need to travel back, the train station is just minutes away, making it easy to continue your journey or return to Osaka with unforgettable memories. please dont forget to leave us a Google review as we love hearing from our customers experiance.

License
A  valid  Japanese  driver ’ s  license,  international  driver ’s  permit,  please  see  here  for  full  license  requirements, your credit card and  your passport or residents  card,  all  of which copies will be taken.
Experience
More than one year of riding experience on a similar sized bike to which you would like to take out.
Age
20 years of age or older.
